Default FTP 24+2, 24k gty; ITM facing flop CRAI with second pair

I have been the most active player at the table. Is this a turbo muck? Or is this a FD and overs enough to warrent a call. Villian hasn't done anything out of line. Raised it up in POS when folded to.

I think you want to get 1/3rd of your stack in when you have at least a slight edge... Call if you want to gamble, but he can turn over something like K9, A9 type of hand. (Possible set of 2's or 3's)

A third of my stack is like 50k. So basically I am just putting him in once he check?

I don't have time to pokerstove this, but getting 2 to 1 on your call, you only need to win this 1 out of 3 to break even. Adding in flush draws and some overs, I think we can pass that mark. Plus, you'll still have a healthy stack and send out a message that you're not to mess with.

Tomek,

It's hard for me to rule out 66 or 55 here, because if he thinks you are c-betting this harmless looking flop a large percent of the time, he may CR you with those hands. If you put those two hands in the mix, you have a mega easy call getting 2:1. Even if you don't factor those lower pairs, once you factor in a range of flush draws, this play is +. I think you have to call. It's not pleasant, but not much you can do here.

The flop bet after the check is fine . . . question now is whether to call the CRAI.

You didn't mention whether you had any reads on the Villain. This guy has an M~7 . . . if he had pushed PF, I'd call in a second. But he was strong enough to call and then CRAI, this looks to me like JJ-99 or Ax [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I think very small pairs would have folded to the OR, given the odds. Other bad possibilities are a slowplayed AA-QQ pushing to deny YOUR flush draw.

I'm not sure where you are in the tourney, and that could be a factor here. You're still over m=20, so you can still play normal poker; if you double this guy up, he's about even with you. Given all this, I think I let this one go. You can find a better place to risk 1/3 of your stack.

I was kinda scared h might have slow played a big hand, but then i thought about it. I was getting 2:1 and went with it.

He flipped up 34sooted.

Exactly. At 2:1, you simply can't underestimate a BB's tendency to be a pussy preflop and then make a daring play on the flop. It's the 24+2 way late into these things.

Jeez . . . you weren't joking when you said you were the most aggro player at the table, if he called you with 34s.

Nice call, sir.

Funny thing is that I was making c-bets around 13.5-18k and I made this one to give him an opportunity to do something stupid. That was definitely a factor in my decision. I made a bet that would make him think I might fold, so I couldn’t really fold it.

Obv this is a post, because he turned his 4.
