200NL - KK OOP versus nit
Villain is nitty, a saddening 15/10/3.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (6 handed) UTG ($160.55) MP ($213.40) Hero ($290.95) Button ($366.30) SB ($225.20) BB ($198.00) Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises to $7, Button calls $7, 2 folds. Flop: ($17) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets $14, Button calls $14. Turn: ($45) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets $38, Hero folds. Final Pot: $83 I want to control the pot against him. I don't even want to play him, just steal from him. Very exploitable, but what else? |

Re: 200NL - KK OOP versus nit
I like b/f turn, he's not likely to screw with you without the clubs and he's not likely to fold AQ to a ~$30 turnbet either.
C/f river if he calls obv. I dont see him bluffing or valuebetting worse after that kind of action. |

Re: 200NL - KK OOP versus nit
seems just a bit too weak even with his stats...i think you have to lead turn and fold to a raise
if he just calls...then you can figure him for QQ and check fold but he really just might be over valuing AQ...i agree you dont want to be playing hands against him but this might be a situation where you have him beat |

Re: 200NL - KK OOP versus nit
Thanks. Why do we prefer checking the river to him over checking the turn to him?

Re: 200NL - KK OOP versus nit
Because he's less likely to bluff the river or overvalue valuebet his AQ than on the turn. (Pot is bigger/ requires more balls / will work less)

[ QUOTE ]
Thanks. Why do we prefer checking the river to him over checking the turn to him? [/ QUOTE ] to me its because checking the turn disguises your hand to him so much that it can lead him to believe he is value betting a worse hand on top of that, him check calling twice signifies much more strength then once |

Re: 200NL - KK OOP versus nit
I much rather bf. I'm really nitty and I'll take villain's line with air often enough against regs

b/f turn. If he calls and river is a blank, b/f river.
