Default Moneybookers Locks Account for \"Security Purposes\"

I did a quick search and couldn't find any posts, so here it goes...

I opened my Moneybookers account early this year (April) after Neteller stopped serving Canadians. I quickly maxed-out the transaction limit but due to a problem with Party Poker (unimportant) I still had $2500 in the account. So I had to leave it dormant for 90 days until the new transaction period started.

I go to use my account in late July and it has been locked for "security purposes". So I apply to renew my passport, which they need to verify my identity. When I finally get my passport in late August, I scan it and a hydro bill and send it to them via their online messaging centre on their website. No response.

I email it to them at security@moneybookers.com

No response.

I call them and get a horrible quality of connection, barely able to hear the person on the other end of the line. She says "Yes, we got your documents. I'll forward them to the right people, but I can't guarantee why your account has been locked, nor when this will be solved." It has been almost a month since I sent them the documents. Other companies take a few days to verify identity in this way. Has anyone else waited this long for MB? I have gotten virtually no assurance that my money will *ever* be accessible.

I'm gonna bump this, wtf the exact same thing happened to me. I sent them e-mail 1 on september 11th and email 2 saying "WTF is your deal" on september 17th. No response either way.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm currently in Moneybookers limbo too.
Account locked. I sent documents. It took about a week to get a response that there was a problem (I'd blacked out some info, they don't like that). Resent a week ago and am still waiting. My patience is running out, I'll give them a couple of days but I'm looking at other options now because my confidence in MB is evaporating very quickly.
Click2pay looks like the next option.

I miss Neteller

Hmm, I was planning on putting some money in my Moneybookers account and this thread is making me reconsider. Is there anyone who has sent their documents in and received a timely response?

I have also had similar experiences with Moneybooker. The response time is the worst of any organisation and when a response does arrive, there is never any explanations. I cannot believe how bad their service is.

Another M.B disaster here! I'd been using M.B since neteller upped and left all was fine.A buddy of mine wanted to fund his new M.B account but didn't want to pay the $30ish fee the wire transfer costs so i transferred him $100 from my M.B account and both our accounts were immediately locked.I was like 'wtf' it states in black and white on their homepage that you can transfer between accounts. Anyways i sent them off the necessary documents got it unlocked after two weeks but my buddy's account is still locked even though he sent in the same kinda documents i did (passport/recent bill) before i did.
And yes i did happen to phone them also, got the same bad connection on the line as OP mentioned with some woman who i could barely hear on the other end of the line. These guys suck.

Don't get me started with these guys, Moneybookers and Neteller have both got unbelievable bad customer service. Shocking infact.
I cannot believe that these companies get away with such terrible customer service. I guess their mindframe is that they have a niche.

Yeah I had the same problem with MB. I wrote them like 10 times, no response. Finally I filed a complaint and the next morning, they had unlocked my account and increased my limit of 10K... So try this !

I have $27 on my account and it got "temporarily" locked because my transfer to a poker site failed or failed a couple of times. It has been over 20 hours already and no response, though I haven't checked if my account has already been opened or it gets automatically opened as it's only "temporarily."

Maybe it has now a new owner, and new security levels.
