Folding OESD to OOP bettor?
Hypothetical situation. 6 Max, you are big blind, everyone limps.
How often is it the right play, if ever, to fold in an unraised pot an open ended straight draw when an out of position player bets into a draw heavy board multi-way pot such as Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and you do not have spade blockers? You expect a reraise from a player who might have the same OESD but flush outs also and/or a set. Imagine your hand is JT8Xr in the above mentioned board and you are BB and small blind bets into the table. I've found myself in this kind of situation frequently and am lost as to what to do. I've got no backdoor draws, a very small wrap and its unraised, so investing OOP seems like the wrong play to me. I've called sometimes and folded others. Raising seems out of the question, as I'm 3bet by a stronger drawing hand, if it exists. |

You dont have oesd. You have 7/8/k for nut straight outs. That said, chasing straights on flush boards is a recipe to lose money.
