How long can American stay in other country?
Let say a country will let you stay there for as long as you want after you applied for the visa, being a U.S. citizen, how long can you stay outside the U.S. without being coming back here?

LOL No you don't have to return to the USA every year to retain citizenship.
Just visit your local US Embassy and make sure ur passport is renewed on time. |

I have expatriot relatives and to the best of my knowledge you never have to visit the U.S. to retain citizenship. However, once you are over age 65, you don't get Medicare unless you actually live in the U.S. Probably not a problem you're terribly worried about at the moment...
