Default Todays WTF moment. NL cash

Fairly readless. He has bet over pot ($30 into $22 pots etc) twice already but is too early in the match to form any strong opinions either way as neither of us are really showing down any hands and only 30 hands or so in. He tends to limp pre rather than raise and calls most of my raises pre. He is up a little since the start of the match but I have no reason yet to suspect he is getting out of line. I didn't 3 bet pre as his pre flop raise numbers were very small <15%.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 2 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

Hero (BB): $244.35
SB: $246.85

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB raises to $6.00, Hero calls $4.00

Flop: ($12) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, SB bets all-in for $240.85,

Who calls? Who folds?

You're only beating JT or QT. If he's pushing like this, it usually means he's bad, which means you'll beat him just not this hand.

I wouldn't call at all . You can only beat a bluff .

He's betting $240.85 into a $12 pot which means he's laying you 20.07:1 against him bluffing you . This means that if he's bluffing more than 95.25% of the time , then you should call .

Also if he has a 9 then you don't have many redraws so you're drawing close to dead .

That is not in doubt but would a 9 really shove after I just check? I have not called down light so no reason to think I will get curious with a weak hand.

Don't think like that. Fold.

technically, hero's redraws mean that the odds aren't quite so bad against him

uhm.. I think he means that hero does _not_ have any redraws. Therefore the odds are just as bad as they seem.

edit: not sure what you guys mean, but a 2outer, running kings or a straight is not what i consider a redraw.

OK I will kill this one off as it is hardly a situation that offers itself up to any great analysis. I thought for around 10 seconds and folded. I have seen bad players turn up with KK, AA or 9x enough times to know that I can find better spots. Also "air" shoves tend to be shortstackers and we were 125BB deep. So I would have called a half-stack shove and been happy about it, but was fine with folding here but still felt it was worth posting to see if those with better experience would snap-call it.

It as a last hand play by him as he immediately left which increases the chances a lot that he was drawing to 7 outs at best with something like JT or he could have had a random Ace high or worse.
