What would you do here?
okerStars 0.02/0.04 Hold'em (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero raises, Button calls, SB 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero calls, Button calls. Flop: (10 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, Hero bets, Button raises, SB folds, Hero ? Game has been loose-passive with 3 players going to the flop usually. Im never sure what to do in this spot though. Am I putting dead money in the pot by calling here? Is a fold here too nitty? Also, do you like the flop C-Bet? This is a pretty L-P table. Edit: Forgot to add, I've seen the players at these tables run some dumb bluffs. For instance, when they decide they want to bluff, they will just raise every street no matter what with a junky hand. They don't do it THAT often though. |

Re: What would you do here?
I would fold here. You have a backdoor gutshot straight draw with an overcard. If he has a queen, which is likely considering he limped PF, you are drawing to about 3.5 outs. If he has an 8 you are drawing virtually dead. Having wiffed the flop AND being out of position I think a fold would be the best line here.

Re: What would you do here?
For what reason could you possibly bet the flop?
Don't bluff bet flops that have no value. |

Re: What would you do here?
@ Jailblazers.
Your flop bet is not a continuation bet as SB 3-bet preflop. When SB 3-bets preflop and checks this flop it means 1 of two things: a) he has a monster and is slowplaying, b) he has AK or AQ and is scared of getting raised - neither AK or AQ is folding to a bet. So your flop bet makes no sense what so ever. When button raised the flop, what do you think he has? Try putting him on a range and calculate how many outs you have. Without doing that I can tell you that putting in 2 bets on this flop with this action is pretyy damn bad poker. |

Re: What would you do here?
I dont think the flop bet is that bad although if these guys dont have fold buttons (very possible) then its pretty pointless, yeah. maybe dont take it down even 10% of the time but i think it possibly worth firing a barrel. this is nanostakes and we dont have a specific read on SB, who knows what his range is.

Re: What would you do here?
This flop bet in this situation will work rarely, if ever. c/f and move on.

Re: What would you do here?
I think the flop bet is worthless all things considered. Continuing after you're raised is -EV.
