Default AQo call or fold river?

I played this hand pretty passively. Villain had been slightly on the aggressive side, nothing crazy or out of line. Should I call the river? Any other thoughts on the way I played this hand are welcome, thanks

you need to find out where you stand after that flop and go ahead and raise his 8 and see what he does. if he just calls you there i think you're in good shape and take control in the hand. you're right when you say you played it passively.

As played this is a fold. What do you beat?, this would be a horrible bluff on his part.

I would raise the turn. He is not going to bet the river again with a hand you beat.

If I raise this turn, I feel like I'd be committed to call any river, but you're saying he wont bet again with a hand we're beating, so are you folding a non-spade river after raising the turn?

Depends on his action against your raise.

1. If he shoves on your raise, I fold.
2.If he calls your raise and checks the flop, I check behind un-improved.
3.If he calls your raise and shoves the river. If you do not improve, I think its a fold, but based on stack sizes at that point you may have to call.

Situation number 3 would be a really horrible spot.

chi-

Raising turn and folding to a shove is gross, notice that we have the NFD and we want to see a river and perhaps let him keep bluffing.

OP- I like every street, nh

you fold with the nut flush draw after putting in 1/2-3/4 of your stack?

2.If he calls your raise and checks the flop, I check behind un-improved.

agreed

yea this would be an awful spot, I think I'd have to call at that point
