Default Adjusting to low stakes turbos [NLTRN ldo]...

Do people feel that at the lowstakes turbos that playing like a nit somewhat is the optimal strategy against overly aggressve/ manaical players? I just played a game where a guy raised every single button and I had to just keep folding and I felt so weaktight.

In addition, in regular speed games my raising range was much wider. I have tightened up significantly at the turbos. Is this normal? Normally I would raise most suited connectored 56+ and medium suited gappers but if I do so early in a turbo (with no real read yet) I find myself either 1) completely missing and getting bet out on the flop or turn if I check the flop, 2) c-betting and getting called and having to give up. I feel like I'm starting a lot of my matches as an uphill battle by raising these hands. Thoughts?

I think playing a TAG game is optimal in low level turbos.

I tend to limp more in regular speed games in the 1st and 2nd blind levels (I only play fish in regs so limping in 1st level makes sense against most of them to me).

If he is raising EVERY BUTTON you can come over the top or shove a pretty wide range without having to worry much about a call.

PS: What is ldo?

on a more serious note ( sorry for the last 2 posts ) tightening up and not raising these hands against maniacs is perfectly fine i think. if he re-raises u ur gonna have to fold and lose alot of chips, try calling from time to time ( eventhough they insta raise calls ) youd have to mix some of ur big hands by limping once every while, and checkraise BIG on the flop with TPGK, they tend to overbet flops alot (which is a sign they missed ) take advantage of that.. im rambling too much , im hungry and have to go eat..
