Default Prima site to have a built in PT type tool

I just got this e-mail. I really hope other sites don't start to do this. Letting a fish know they're a fish is bad. I know that even if you showed a fish 2+2 they probably wouldn't do anything with it anyway, but if you are putting that they suck right in front of their face it's going to push them quite a bit to improve IMO.

Hi Brady,

We've got some awesome add-ons for the Poker Rewards Calculator coming
up in the next 2 weeks, soon you'll be able to see what type of player
the people are you're playing against. For example, there's the fish,
the rock, the shark, the maniac and a few others I won't spoil by
letting out. It's looking really good at the moment and I'm very
excited about it's prospects for the budding Poker star. Drop me a
line if ya want to hear more.

I know, a lot players might be thinking, "What the hell are you doing
this for?", I'll simply say, the better the Poker being played, the
better the Poker player you become and the better you are, the more
fun
it becomes. It sucks to lose, trust me on this, I know. Anyway, we're
the only Poker Room on the Prima network that has this built-in
advantage, so it's not all
that bad.

Thanks,

Dave Casey

Poker Room Manager.

Yeah, that's a horrible idea in my book.

This is the worst idea I've ever heard coming from a pokersite.

I mean really? They've spent valuable developer time on this which could have been spent in other ways. Crazed.

I'm stunned beyond belief. They're actually going to mark players automatically at the table with this? The sad thing is, since this is a skin, there's no way to see the people fleeing from this site directly.

If they wanted to appeal to the multi-tablers. Why didn't they just spend the time and money on making their site more userfriendly to Pokertracker and PokerACE HUD users? This way, the sucky players don't know how bad they suck and the informed players do know how bad they suck.

I wouldn't worry. Is the designation going to be over all hands played ever? in a specific timeframe? at the specific limit you are playing? what rules will they use? will they publish the rules? will the program actually work?

In my view, the autorate function of PT is one of its least useful and I never bother.

I wonder whether you will be able to switch it off? I can't see too many fish wanting to broadcast the fact.
