200NL - And now I play the board.... And he moves in!
Villain is unknown, seems loose, passive.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (5 handed) Hero ($218.95) UTG ($200.00) MP ($128.15) Button ($219.65) SB ($239.75) Preflop: Hero is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls $2, MP calls $2, SB folds, Hero checks. Flop: ($7) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players) SB checks, Hero bets $6, UTG folds, MP calls $6, SB folds. Turn: ($19) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero bets $16, MP calls $16. River: ($51) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero bets $30, MP raises to $104.15 (all-in), Hero.... I tried a blocking bet on the river to avoid this (possible) disaster. Now what?? An 8 is not likely, but those few times have me crushed.... |

Fold. Don't lead river for $30 in a $51 pot.

Why do you think we don't split enough of the time for a call to be profitable?

Leading the river is quite dumb. An 8 is quite unlikely, yes - you need him not to have one at least 50% of the time, to make this call. I don't know, but lp guys may have it here that often.
