Default 1000nl- Trouble with top pair

Villain has a -2bb/100 record over about 25k hands on mypokerintel.com. We're about 20 hands in and I've been very aggressive thus far. No big showdowns yet, he bought in for about 800. Am I spewing?

The decision here is really on the flop rather than the turn. Do you think he would play this strongly with worse? This isn't really a big flop for draws. You can probably lay it down right there unless you have a read that says otherwise.

Note: I wouldn't make a habit of laying this down if he is making moves like this regularly, but if he hasn't gotten out of line this is probably a fold.

The hands that you beat that may have been played this way are : A-5, maybe 5-6,5-7 s if you're aggressive , 6-7s ,q-9.

The hands that you lose to are :q-j,q-k,q-a (not everyone re-raise pre) ,a set of 4's, 5's, maybe q's .

Since you've been aggressive , I may strongly consider putting him to the test with another raise . If you haven't been so aggressive otf , then I probably consider folding this hand .

If I decide to put him to the test, is my line correct? I can't see any other way of playing this that maximizes value if I'm indeed going to look him up.

I think so because of your aggression factor .

How often has he been calling your raises or re-raising you otf ?

He's check-raised one of my continuation bets to 240 and I folded paint that whiffed. Other than that he's let me take down pots with continuation bets for the most part, or called with something like second pair. He's up a few hundred because of hands like that, where he'd call with second pair after I continuation bet something like AT on K73, and we check it down and his A7 takes the pot. Only 20 or so hands have been played, however.

Ohh thats very important to know .

Considering that he played a-7 that way and that you've taken down many pots with a c-bet , I would lean towards folding otf .I think you only beat a semi-bluff hand or maybe something like a medium pocket pair .

I think you're ahead, and he's tired of your c-bets. Why would he make such a big turn bet with a strong hand?

Wow. You have TP4K. If this action doesn't make you want to muck it, what would?
