Default OK to multi-account at Crypto?

Never really thought about multi-accounting before the JJ/ZJ stuff came up, then I started noticing a few references to it on UK based forums. It seems that there are quite a few people who see nothing wrong with having an account at 2 or more crypto skins and playing in the same MTT. Apparently because the software kicks one of your accounts off if they are on the same table, it is considered by some people to be a totally OK thing to do.

So I thought I'd better contact crypto to see WTF they're doing about this so I emailed InterPoker who I believe are cryptologic and Betfair (a crypto skin who's customers speak about this on their forum) This was 3 days ago and I have had no replies. I stuck a post up at another forum where cypto skin employees post and again got no replies and although obviously they are not obligated in any way to answer any post it seems to sugest that maybe a blind eye is being turned.

I have read the Terms and Conditions and there is nothing that specifically forbids this. So it looks like if you want to multi-account there is no need to set up accounts in other people's names or anything just get a few accounts with different skins and you'll be fine.

Perhaps it really doesn't matter if you can't play at the same table? If it is OK to do this on crypto though shouldn't everyone be told that so everyone has the same opportunity to multi-account? At the moment it is just "the cool kids" who know about this who have got 2 or 3 horses in for example the Monte Carlo EPT Sat that happened over the weekend or the $500K MTT that I think was in January.

So can anyone tell me, are we allowed to multi-account at crypto or is it something that they are turning a blind eye to? If it is OK then maybe we need a multi-account forum to discuss the best strategies for this possible +EV opportunity.

I played in a downtime tourney that had 6 entries from the same person....

Its very possible...However, if you get put at the same table - It automatically sits your accounts out..(Thats what it looked like in this tourney)...

I'd just like to add, I noticed that this is a sarcastic post to some degree....but never mind

Do you mean my post is sarcastic? Didn't mean it to be. Genuinely interested in the official crypto line on this, but they won't give me one.

Cryptological is the name of the software that several different casinos/pokerrooms use.

So you are totally fine being a member at several cryptos (I am) because they are all different casinos so you do not have multiple accounts at the same casino/pokerroom.

Whether it's ok to use multiple accounts in the same tourney...I don't know, but to at least answer part of your question...having multiple accounts on the same skin is even allowed.

I called them once about rakeback and they said "yeah, if you want rakeback, just find a fresh computer and sign up another account under the person who is going to give you rakeback and use that account."

And if you said it's not forbidden anywhere and kicks you off the tables if you are at the same one...well my guess is it's legal. Give interpoker a call, they answer their phone's really quickly and will have an answer for you.

This happened at Gutshot internet cafe, one player got to the final table and was booted off, didnt know why he frantically rang customer support who said someone else on that ip was in it. Turned out someone else was in it in another part of the club. He explained he was at intenet cafe etc wouldnt budge so he had to get a taxi to another place to play the rest of it.

I talked to an ECash (Crypto, basically) rep on the phone, they said it was totally fine to have multiple accounts on the same skin. No joke
