Live 100NL 2/3 blinds
I have QQ in CO with ~$150. BB is loose player with ~$200, but pretty good. BN is tight. Preflop: folds to me. I raise $17, BN calls, SB folds, BB calls Flop ($48): 2 2 K rainbow BB checks, I check, BN bets $15, BB calls, I call Turn ($93): 8 (2 hearts on board) BB bets $55 What would you do on the flop? cbet, fold to $15 bet and call, or c/r? What's the right thing to do on the turn? |

call me a nit or weak/tight and all, but I would just fold the flop as played.
I would however cbet the flop. |

That's a pretty good flop for you to c-bet. Put in $35 and reevaluate.

OP doesn't have position, nor is it a heads up pot.

Flop:
I think you can cbet, checkcall, you can fold or you can raise depending on how you judge your players. I would very much tend to not raise here because of the caller. And I dont really see much value in calling vs 2players eventhough I dont mind that play so much. But your queens are very likely to be beaten here or get bluffed out. I would usually cbet this and I think thats the best play if you get credit at all. Its easy to represent the king for you, if you get called or raised you know you are beaten. Turn: easy fold, no outs, most likely beaten, not much pot, big stacks behind |

I probably fold the turn. He's led into three players on the turn and overcalled the flop. Too strong of a line to continue here imo.

this is played pretty bad, sry. With your flop line, you are basically hoping for 2 out to continue. No one has a draw here and the only way you are showing this down cheap is if youre beat. bet flop, as played fold turn.
in that other thread, betting is better than checking. |

thx for all the comments. i see valid points everywhere.
like some of you suggested, i would normally cbet this flop because of its texture. however, there's a BN to act behind and I felt strongly that he held AK here (he's tight). however, what threw me off was BN's weak bet which I couldn't distinguish as either AK value or AQ bluff. the BB's call was even more surprising although is a loose player. i was even more surprised that he lead out turn, which as orange points out is a very strong line: overcall, bet into 2 players. fwiw, BB had 52s and BN had AKo in this hand at showdown |
