Re: $22 Party, two times 33
I would play the same way but I wouldn't fold to a cbet in the second hand. Calling or putting in a raise will let you see where you stand. If your raise is called then I would be thinking of check/folding the hand, unless a 3 comes on the turn or river. He has the lead in the hand but you have position!

Re: $22 Party, two times 33
Hand 2 i fold pre. Hand 1 I am calling if I feel utg and utg+1 suck and will play passively postflop whcih might let me see a turn, or stack me hard hwen I hit a set. I dont think folding either pf is bad

Re: $22 Party, two times 33
Hand 1, I fold preflop. 33 is not a hand I like playing early with a raise in front. Hand 2, limping UTG is a bit loose, so I usually fold here too, but I definitely fold to a raise.

Re: $22 Party, two times 33
please don't fold this pre, you can stack him way too often when you hit your set.

Re: $22 Party, two times 33
Personally, I think small pairs such as 33 have a negative EV in STTs. I would personally just fold these and push near the bubble because you have something in case the other players pushes back. Early on it could work if you catch trips, but even then there are many hands drawing against you.

Re: $22 Party, two times 33
@ Scotty:
Why do you fold hand 2? it is only t40 with a chance to see a flop and hit a set... Do you fold 88/99 also UTG? @ KCW12: Why do you fold hand 2 after the raise? The t100 to call is only ~6% of our stack and we have set value? |
