I like to lead these flops with a card above my trips as most people will raise you if they have that pair. Anyone like checking the turn hoping for them to see you as slowing down and bet, or should I just keep on betting?

This is a bit read-based IMO.
If he seems like the typical $4/180 donk who'll happily stack off with top pair, I'd bet here and make it like 800ish so you can easily get the rest of your chips in on the river. You don't want to make it too small because a Q+ on the river may kill your action. If on the off chance that he seems like a thinking player, I check here. I'm not too worried that he has the case 9, but I think double-barreling here will fold out some J's that might otherwise bet the turn or river. Matt |
