Default What is the proper line when flopping a monster?

I had J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the SB, completed and the flop comes Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I pretty much can't lose this hand. There were only 3 to the flop if this makes any difference.

What kind of opponents?

In an unraised pot I would probably check unless I was playing against the right kind of players.

Also, it doesn't really make much of a difference how you play your flopped straight flushes.

You standard PokerStars .10/.20 kind of a player. I'm not currently running any kind of traker software, but they were not making me say to my monitor "My GOD, do these guys suck!"

I'd bet and they'd call and we'd have a jolly good time.

Like all things poker "It depends"

And no you can't lose the hand no matter what, you have the ultimate nuts (no body can make a royal because you have the J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]).

Acutally I guess you could make the royal, but the point stands, every cent going into the pot is yours.

Yeah, I know I have the hand won no matter what, the issue is how to best extract the most money.

I ultimately bet out and everyone folded.

That happens. The only real chance you would've had was that the A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] was out there. Don't think you would've made real money otherwise. Maybe a bet or two if you checked it, but I'm not sure.

On these flopped the stone nuts hands I like to give everyone else in the hand a chance to do the betting for me. I'll check and call on the flop, check raise on the turn and lead the river. Sometimes it works sometimes the c/r ends the hand. It really isn't something to worry about too much though.

I wouldn't bet the flop either. First I'd like to see if someone else likes to bet this flop.
