I bet for value on this turn against an unknown because you get called by Ks, Js, smaller flushdraws and you want to set up the stack sizes in a way that allows you to push when you hit your flush. I wouldn't care about QT just having got there. It's just a small part of villains range and he will probably slowplay to the river anyway. Most player don't raise big when they hit a straight or better on the turn. And you don't hate a c/r that much that it should keep you from betting. And you might get a free showdown from an A with a better kicker or a two pair that is afraid or passive.

OP's TP definitely has showdown value, i.e. has a very good chance to be best on a blank river. So folding is out of the question when you check that turn for pot control and invite your villain to bluff unless he is making an overbet shove or something retarded like that.

villain nearly never cold called that's why i wanted to keep the pot small until i got my flush or to call a river bet. i was a bit afraid of running into a monster there.

You should include information like that in the original post, obv. If SB is very tight then there are good reasons not to play a big pot with TPNK and getting raised on the turn sucks a lot more.
