Re: Official review thread: Cleverbeans
Some background, I am normally a $1 player but a friend staked me in this tourney and it was my first cash at a buyin above $5. It was a turbo format and I don't feel my play was anything special, so any comments would be helpful even if you thought I played the hand fine, please let me know so I don't over adjust.
Also, middle/late game play is not terrible strong either, please let me know if I missed any good spots to shove on the hands I didn't play, rather then just watching the hands I did play. Cheers, Cleverbeans |

Re: Official review thread: Cleverbeans
52. A small raise with AA is often a tell, but no need to raise this much. You could also limp behind.
71. With this hand and stack size, I like a check or push better than the raise. 74. Just cbet/fold the ace high flop. 105. You might check the straight. A flush draw will probably bet. 106. You could also open push preflop. 114. I would push preflop. |

Re: Official review thread: Cleverbeans
20 and 21: I like a turn bet in both
22: good fold, in case you were wondering 34: why so much preflop? make it 250 and you'll be able to shove over a flop donk, as is you don't have enough 47: lol, guy raises >50% of his chips, but the 300 from the caller makes the pot juicy. good shove, I think. 71: ni han suh, maybe raise less preflop. 74: good flop check, imo. On the turn you are giving him like 5-1, which could be good if you are sure that you can bluff him on the river, but I don't think you can know that. Nothing wrong with folding preflop, either. edit: agree with betgo about the shoves on the later hands. Obv 71 and 74 are the most questionable. |

Re: Official review thread: Cleverbeans
To explain hand 71, I felt I had a very good read to make that move, and had been planning it for some time. He had limped into a lot of pots, and shown down some very weak hands. The open ended straight draw was good enough for me to make the semi-bluff and I knew he could make the laydown.

Re: Official review thread: Cleverbeans
Isolate, yeah. The call of the 300 seems real fishy and bad, and I think he has a worse hand quite often. I may be biased by the results, though.

Re: Official review thread: Cleverbeans
Hand 2: Why have you folded 88 here?
Hand 47: This is a fold for me two - villain is shortstacked and bets half his stack, gets a call and A9 is not a strong enough hand to shove here - you have no FE. Hand 52: why do you raise so strong with AA? Hand 68 and Hand 74: Why do you fold 44 in CO-1 but raise 33 in CO. Still Hand 74: Don't you think that c-betting the flop is better than a check and then c/r the turn? |
