Preflop i'd just complete most of the time, but if you want to raise, you should make it 1600-2000. Are you raising b/c you're ahead of his range, or b/c it's the money bubble and there's a good chance a raise takes it down pre?

As played, i think i'd check this flop. Checking gets PPs<99 to bet and gets you to a showdown cheaper. After the call on this flop u are WA/WB IMO, and when u are WA/WB check/call is the best line. When u are WA/WB, leading or c/r'ing will always be called by better hands and may fold out hands that you beat. Free cards are not that bad on this board if MP1 checks behind turn after calling on flop.

Raise more preflop - with only 2BB you give'em the odds to call, while taking it down preflop with AJ isn't bad.

Flop is a good one. Your half-size bet is ok i think, you can even make it large as you are betting for value here.
A higher Ace is very unlikely after the prflop action.

On the turn you want to bring the chips in and your c/r approach is fine therefor i think. With a c-bet type bet on the flop and a check you sign weakness and beg him to bet, then you shove.

nothing really wrong with this hand imo.

does anybody like a c/c on the flop?

We can probably discount a better A b/c of PF action and we may get any PP to bet flop for value.

I'm surprised to see that most recommend more preflop. Back when I was playing tournaments fairly often, a little over a year ago, I found that around the bubble, when the blinds and antes were very high, you could often take the pot down with min-raises. Was I just lucky, or has the game changed?

In this hand, I raised 3x as sort of a combo-steal/value. I'm happy if they fold, but figure I'm ahead most of the time.

raise more preflop bc you are oop and with a drawing hand. so your biggest strength is now so put pressure on him. as played i would gladly get it all in here . i have no prob w any play that gets it all in here. you will be ahead 80% of the time. sorry if this is this is the 20%. eesh if he has a 9 or ace q k he's a donkey.
