I think this is one of those spots where you only get called by hands that beats you more often than not and where raising only folds out hands that could put in some $$ on the river if you just call the turn minraise. You have position! If you're beat, you get away pretty cheaply by calling the river and if he's weak you can make a value bet. I don't see him getting tricky checkraising the river too often.
