I pass on the c-bets in both situations. I have a real hard time at the table figuring out the spots where I am "only called when beaten", but these spots against short stacks seem glaring to me. They will fold worse hands and call with better ones.

Checking opens the door to their bluffs, which gets the same money in the pot with a MUCH wider villain range. I'd still expect it to be a high variance way to pick up EV, but I far prefer that approach against short stacks.

I might must just push hand 1 preflop. No way you are not getting all-in on any flop.

Hand 2 I don't know. If that diamond didn't come on the turn I think I'd be check folding, but now it's probably neutral EV to push or call and all-in, so might as well push and see if you have any fold equity.

Hand 1 you want to push him in preflop theres no value after if he hit. Hand 2 I really dislike, ATs is not a strong hand and you were probably called by JK JQ AJ anyways and i'd say get away from it on the flop by check folding.
