Villain is unknown.
PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls, 4 folds, Hero raises, SB calls, 1 fold, UTG calls. Flop: (7 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, SB calls, UTG calls. Turn: (5 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, SB raises, UTG folds, Hero calls. He could have 6x or some other pocker pair, although i'd expect him to raise with those on the flop, so im sort of worried. But you never know. Other possible hands 9x, obv. slow played Tx, 87, or just bluffing with a draw. So i call. River: (9 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets, Hero... And that card sucks, but i think i'd cry call. |

[ QUOTE ] fold river. no chance. but a read could help [/ QUOTE ] why even call the turn if you're folding the river? [/ QUOTE ] I usually agree w/ this, but this hand is a bit different. If on the turn I feel that villian's range has enough 9s or 6s or other PPs, I may decide to call down. In this case though, the river card totally changes our equity against those ranges since a 9 now also kills us. Now if the river was a 2, and he decided to fold, I agree 100% and would of posted as such. |

you simply cant call the turn and fold the river. the pot wont allow it.
either let it go on the turn or just call down. against an unknown at this level i usually call down and hate it |

What hands do are you ahead of on the river that play the turn the way it was played? |

Against an unknown I call, partly because I might still be ahead, partly for read value.

I think that if you decide to call the turn, that you are pretty much committed to calling the river also.
Shame that you did not have any read on this villain. |

what 9x hand calls the flop and c/r the turn? A9? I don't see any (except hands that already beat you on the flop or turn)
