Default stud 8 hand i was confused on

when my hand is defined in one direction and that is all i have, i find myself really lost. this pot also starts out multiway which adds to my confusion. i really felt lost here and comments on all streets would be great. i had not been sitting long enough to develop any reads.

Why are you completing 3rd with this hand? I rest looks fine including the river bet. If he made a T-high straight then you want to keep playing with him if he's going to call you all that way with a crappy rough 8 draw.

just call 3rd, check/call the river. everything else seems pretty standard, including the dubious calls from villain at a .5/1 table.

I'm folding this on third, because the dead cards suck so much.

Three to an eight is not a great hand anyway. When you add in the other factors I would fold it.

Not all 3-card lows are created equal. 86A isn't a great low draw and is unconnected. On top of that, your 8 is exposed. It's not quite as much a big deal in this particular case because everyone else in the hand has an 8 in the door (thus you should know where you stand roughly if they're going low as well).

Suited Aces are nice but have you looked at your opponents cards? Already 4 of your clubs are dead! Good luck on that flush.

Get Ray Zee's book.

I actually like the raise here, maybe i'm alone.
I personally think you played this hand perfectly, if he sucked out on the river that is simply unfortunate, although it doesn't look like he did unless he is reeally bad.
