Sleep Cycles
I've been doing a bit of research on the topic of sleep cycles (as in day to day basis, not REM cycles) to analyze my own schedules. Recently I've noticed that my sleep schedule rotates around a 30-40 hour cycle. I tend to be awake for around 17-25 hours then coma-out for around 10-14 hours. Usually this ends up with me being vampirish for about a week's length, until the schedule flips back to me being normal. This probably comes from me playing poker, and my willingness to play million hour seshes. Sometimes I get really bad insomnia as well. This may have something to do with the fact that I'm a practicing lucid dreamer. I've heard some things about Ambien and Lunestra, but have never taken them.
As poker players, I don't think we sleep like as normal as other people do. Any thoughts? |
