Default NL100 - 77 overpair vs. Agro Villain OOP

Found this to be a pretty tough spot.

Villain is a very agro player who is pretty tricky and seems to be a good player.
Stats are 23/19/5.5 over about 700 hands.

What do you think of the flop check raise? Whats the best line on the river? Does anyone push here?

All comments appreciated... ta.

Check/raise on flop is excellent, because it not only over represents your hand it also allows him to never call with worse.

But don't we want him to call with worse?

Usually 3 bet pre but a call isn't horrible assuming you can play for pair value.

Obviously great flop for your hand, and I think I'd prefer a donk bet to a c/r, but cc is probably best.

hes saying by doing a c/r you will never get called by worse since you are repping a much stronger hand than 77. This isn't necessarily true since he is almost always sticking around with a lower pair for 1 more bet but generally you won't get much value out of a c/r.

Any advice for play on river?
Unlikely he has an ace since he called my flop c/r. How often does he call a push without an ace?

it just makes little sense to turn this hand into a bluff, which is what you are doing with your line.

The basic idea here is to get some value out of your hand when you are ahead. Check call his flop bet. Turn being an ace you now have a difficult decision if he bets again and its probably a fold against most opponents.

After he called your c/r and your bet on the turn when the ace came he isn't folding on the river.

why just call the flop when we have such a vulnerable holding?

Is he ever folding over pairs on this flop? Does he raise liberally if we donk into him?
