Live 1/2 NL hand
Playing at the local cardroom last Saturday night...
I wrote this hand down right afterwards because I wanted to post it. Villian is the bigstack with about $350 behind. $200 max buyin and I've been there for about 1/2 hour and have $220 behind. Folded to me in the cutoff and I raise to $10 with JJ. Villian on the button calls and both blinds fold. Villian has played agressively since I've been there and has won a few pots without a showdown and I don't recall seeing him show his cards since I've been there. Seems like a tight agressive player, but who knows for sure. Flop comes KKJ with 2 clubs. I check and he bets $12. I call. Turn is Ah. I check again and he thinks for about 10 seconds and bets $20($47 pot if my math is correct). Not a great card, but I still think I need to raise here. How much? I make it $60. He flat calls. I didn't like this. River is Qh for a board of Kd Kc Jc Ah Qh. I check as I'm thinking alot of hands beat me. Am I being too cautious here??? He bets $75 almost immediately. Call or jam? What's he got? |

Re: Live 1/2 NL hand
You should be getting the money in on this hand. C/c the whole way leaves so much money on the table.

Am I being too cautious here??? [/ QUOTE ] Caution is fine, but you're being too passive. You need to either b3b or c/r the flop. Just calling on the end is fine. No value in a raise. |
