Default $6.50 Stars turbo - Trouble with KQ

I got a bit lost on this hand, should it have been a fold preflop?

Villain has been a donk so far, looser than even the average $6.50 player. With this in mind, is KQ strong enough to hold up?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (7 handed) internettexasholdem.com

SB (t2825)
Hero (t1245)
UTG (t4195)
Villain (t560)

CO (t1220)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

I think his stack size makes this tricky, even though it's a min raise, he's commited himself.

Bah. I hate a minraiser at this level. Oh, hell, I just hate minraisers.

I guess I need to know more about the villain. If I've seen him plays Q6s at any level, I push in a flash. If he's really as big a donk as you say, his range will include stuff you crush.

I lean towards a push vs. a minraising dope with a short stack, but that might be a visceral reaction to the minraise...

If he's a donk then call and push any flop.

I called and then didn't like the flop, checked and folded to his all in. Which I think is probably the worst way i could have played it. If I was calling the raise I should have had a plan for the flop right?

I think I was worried that if i lost the gamble my stack size wouldn't be too workable for the bubble. Which would suggest it's fold or be prepared to go all in dependant on read.

Bleh I hate this hand and the weak-ass way I played it.

Thanks for you help guys.

I think if you are putting chips in the pot there, they all need to go in. I wouldnt hate folding against a tight player. I'd lean towards an allin preflop against a loose donk. You'd be surprised how many times you get called by junk hands youre ahead of and also sometimes they fold.

If you call preflop, I think you need to push any flop.
