Default tricky spot with middle set

i was really lost in this hand and i am still unsure which line i should take. in the moment i saw the flop i knew this is going to be trouble...

i was playing tagish/nitty and didnt get outta line.

i didnt know the co and had no stats so far but for some reason i gave him credit for being solid, at least he was playing a tagish style so far.

sb wasnt very good ... he was running about 28/13/1

Blinds: $3/$6
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
HERO: $1.205.05
UTG+1: $205.10
CO: $1.386.75
Button: $701.00
SB: $324.50
BB: $912.40

Pre-flop: (6 players) HERO is UTG with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
HERO raises to $20, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($100, 5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, HERO bets $70, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, SB raises all-in $304.5, BB folds, Hero???

ok, a str8 is def possible, but i really dont want to give up here, esp bc the sb is bad and short. the co just called my initial bet and is still left to act...

HERO calls, CO raises all-in $1300, HERO calls all-in $880.55.
Uncalled bets: $576.05 returned to HERO.

i am obviously beaten but the odds force me to call...

the more i think about this hand, the more i come to the conclusion, that it prolly doenst really matter because the money is goin in this way or the other...
...thoughts?

Instacall? What hands would not raise Hero PF, then overpush on the flop like that? The range is not big and most of which have Hero bet.

But it is very hard to fold a flopped set especially after calling a big bet as it is.. that's for sure.

Im sure against 55, 88, 97s, and maybe 86s 65s 47s 87s etc you have odds

Doesn't mean OP can't call, but lol at you not even thinking about what range would overpush 3way push/called flop. 88 is not the only hand that has OP beat.

88 is the only hand i really have to fear here. against all other hands i am either ahead or got good odds to continue.

I can't believe someone in this thread actually considers folding as an option....
Just don't know if to snap call or wait a little bit lol
