Default OTB versus Big Blind\'s Check-Raise

Ramping up my HU play and stealing the blinds. Here's a typical situation. Read on the villain is that he's decent aggressive player. Is it standard to calldown or let go of the middle pair on this heavily coordinated board?

this is a standard pf play hopefully even before you started ramping things up

i think it's fairly close between folding and calling down. for what it's worth my first instinct is to fold. that's a terrible card that could very well have hit our range and very few worse hands can semibluff it and yet he still crs. i don't like a turn check behind at all on such a draw heavy board.

I voted for calldown, so that's clearly wrong.

everything posted so far is painfully standard, so i don't know what the ramp up stuff is about.

i call down. this is a steal situation and even a stupid villain with average aggression knows the A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] is a great card to c/r.

Why is the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] a great card to c/r? We have a spade or an A a lot when we bet the turn, and most other hands that b/f that card also b/f the 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

meh. i guess what i meant is that the board got super scary on the turn and many villains are going to try to exploit that with the ol' (semi)bluff c/r. plus, this is a steal situation, so many villains are inclined to believe that hero is FOS anyway. this creates enough doubt for me to call down with a strong second pair and a weak redraw.

That was pretty much my line of thinking when I decided to call down. G00t. All the "ramping up" means that I am just going through my HU blinds situations and checking my raising range and making sure I am not making any obvious mistakes ... Didn't have much experience with this at lower limits with loose passive action, but it's standard at laggro FTP $1/2.
