Default BARF what do you do in these spots?

Is best line to bet the turn? I would think that if i do bet i dont get called by much worse, but what do you do in response to his bet? Viliian is 37/8

bet the turn.. dont get called by much worse? how about flushdraws, J10 etc. As played im going into calldown mode i guess

I used to play this like you did often because I shared your reasoning.

However, I've found this game is so much harder to play when you give up the initiative and start guessing in these spots. 34/8 isn't usually going to raise you on the turn w/o trips, and will almost always raise w/ trips. He'll let you know where you are at.

There is definately value here.

If the flop weren't so drawy you could get away with checking this turn, but as is you'll get called by plenty worse (especially by a 37/8). As Hoopster said it generally makes the hand easier to play.

There are plenty of players who will not only bet pot, but actually shove on you with nothing if you check the turn, and over time they'll have positive EV against the average opponent.

That is why you simply have to bet.
