Default Jackson Rancheria in Ca

Greetings all, I am going to a conference at an Indian casino called Jackson Rancheria by Stockton Ca. I am hoping someone could give me a run down on the poker room. How about indian gaming casinos in general? Any difference between them and casinos or B & Ms?

Haven't been up there in a while, but last time there it was all low limit, 1-2 100 max NLHE, 2-5 200 max NLHE, 3/6 limit hold'em and 4/8 omaha/8.

Yeah, I checked their site and it seems like they offer some good tournies and have a legit room, but I'm not sure of what sort of clientel they bring in. I think it is out in the boonies, so only tourists may be there. That would be a good thing, but they have some decent tournies, so I'm wondering if people are making that drive.

If you play limit, you are basically limited to 3-6 limit no foldem holdem. NL is 1-2 100 buy in type game. I found pretty decent players in it, actually better than what I saw in lower limit NL in Vegas.

I frequent other establishments due to where I live but I think you will like the conditions there. It is 18+ and lots of 18-20 year old northern Californians go there to gamble because they have few other options.

Overall I've found California Indian Casinos to be very soft and loose on the weekends in 3-6 and 4-8 LHE, which is all I play. There are usually plenty of wild gamblers to offset the rock-tight retirees and savvy locals, which is generally not the case in Reno/Tahoe. 5-7 players pre-flop at a 9 player table is normal. I commonly get 3-5 cold calls out of an early position raise. People are there to gambool. Variance is wild, but win rate is very good overall. You will not get free alcohol or comps as you would in a Nevada casino.

They recently changed the buyins.. 1-2 200max, 2-5 500 max, and sometimes a 3-5 uncapped buyin, although this game rarely runs.
