AQo tp CR on flop, thoughts?
Live game $50 buy-in, blinds at 50-100, up next hand. 7 players. UTG Folds. I am UTG+1 with AdQs and make it 300 to go. 4 folds, BB calls 200.
Stacks: Hero-3800, Villian-4000 BB is a solid player, TAG, and recently shoved. Also, BB has had a bit of a vendetta with me outside of the table after a 2:1 outdraw; we were not on speaking terms at this juncture. Pot: 650 Flop comes Ah Jc 3d rainbow. Villain checks, I bet 300, Villain minraises to 600. Hero calls. Pot 1850 Turn 9s Villain bets 1000. Hero??? |

Unless your image is crappy you are probably crushed once he bets the turn. But a laydown is very dependent on reads.

Re: AQo tp CR on flop, thoughts?
I'd push the miniraise on the flop - with calling here you showed weakness. on the turn i'd push - i think you are ahead here most of the time.

Re: AQo tp CR on flop, thoughts?
I was actually trying to show weakness; I thought perhaps I'd overplayed it. Even tried to make it look like I wanted to check before purposely betting flop low. Minraise was very strange, given the player and the circumstances.
The line I took was to call the minraise and shove the turn. Villain tanked for a minute, then flipped A3o. Did I play too creatively here, or was it just a bad spot? |

bad-luck
a preflop call with A3o is very questionable for a TAG-player. |
