I would check and reaval, I would also reraise more preflop esp. being OOP. Reraise to at least $6.

Pretty standard check on the turn. Sometimes the board just gets to ugly. All you can do now it hope that he either checks or bets small enough that would could call and hope to hit a full house.

I would also raise a lot more on the the flop. I think this is a definite pot button situation. There are lots of bad cards can come that either give him a better hand, or completely kill the action.

I like your flop bet. Check turn and hope for paired board. Of course call within reason on turn.
