William Shatner's "Common People"

Within the last week I was introduced to William Shatner's rendition of "Common People" (featuring Joe Jackson).

Why did it take so long for me to hear this song? Why didn't this song get more airplay? Why have I had this song on repeat for the past week now?

I just downloaded this whole album last week. No joke...it is pretty excellent (and not in a campy way). Came out in 2004. "Common People" isn't even the best song on this. Has contributions from Aimee Mann, Ben Folds, and Henry Rollins.

His version of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds is pretty razzin' too.

Yeah, it's a pretty good album. I actually tried to post this song about a month ago, hence my one star. WHOOPS!

I like the Aimee Mann and Ben Folds song more. I forget the name. Actually, I really like the Together song with Lemon Jelly. The beat is awesome.

"Has been" is pretty good country. But my favorite is "You're gonna die".

i've got the CD this is on....awesome CD...Shatner collaborated with Ben Folds and it just kicks azz.
