I flop an OESFD and get c/r by a TAG.....
Villain is an unimaginative TAG. Meaning I doubt his range is Ax here. He's either got 2pair, a set or a combo draw of his own. Is pushing here still the standard?

Have to get it all in, lots of dead money in the pot and you have a lot of equity versus even a super tight range

I'm always pushing here but am I wrong for doing so? |

Re: I flop an OESFD and get c/r by a TAG.....
this would be this players standard range in such a spot, however is there a human element that i'm missing where he'll deviate and make this move with junk from time to time, or that i'll have FE on this flop? I need 25% FE if my above range is right.

You've limited his range to sets and nut flush draws, and assumed that you have no fold equity against the latter. That seems a bit pessimistic

Standard shove. Dead Money + FE = +EV.

I even gave stats and none of the nits came out. Regardless I shoved and felt good about it. Still wanted a line check. Thanks all.

Re: I flop an OESFD and get c/r by a TAG.....
I think calling is a much better option in this spot.
You said he got either twopair, set or NFD. Therefore you are dominated most of the time. He wont fold any of those hands, so there is no FE. There is not enough money in the pot to justify a call, therefore i call and reevaluate on the turn. |
