Questions about becoming a dealer. Right forum?

Not sure if this is the right forum. I am considering moving back to Vegas and wondering about becoming a dealer in the poker rooms. What all is involved here? Dealer school (how much does this class cost and duration)? Getting certified? Does that come with the school or is that a separate step? How many hours a week do dealers put in? Is it up to them? Work as many shifts as you want? Like if one of your co-dealers wants a night off, can pick up their shift? Are dealers in a union? I will do some more research on my own, but if anyone cares to comment, thank you.
