Default 25/50 live, weak combo draw, reverse implied odds, etc.

25/50 live game in nyc last night, effective stacks here are 25k

i'm in the straddle with 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6 people to the flop:
($600) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB and BB check, i bet 500 quickly, folds to SB who calls (this guy gives a lot of loose action, but plays fulltime and is up huge in the game), BB makes it 2k (2+2er, really good player, imo he has a wide range and, and could be CR with made straight, pair+sd, fd, set, air)
i called (i think this is pretty standard, but i think an argument could be made for it being a fold because of reverse implied odds of both draws being so crappy and so easily dominated)

turn ($5100) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]]
he thinks for a while and bets 3900, i think he follows up here with a fd most of the time, a straight all of the time, is giving up with air a lot of the time (a hand like 68 being a big part of my range) and is sometimes betting a set (the rest of the time ch-calling).
my range is also big enough on the flop that i will be folding many hands on this turn.

standard call? fold?
if you call, what's your plan for a river club? for a river blank?

villain and i have played quite a bit together live (he also plays a lot online), and also discussed hands together, and are reasonably familiar with how the other plays and thinks about the game. he probably thinks i call too much.

i think calling the turn is fine. lots can happen on the river. this is a pretty nasty little hand.

I would almost never fold the turn. I think you just gotta see what rolls off on the river and how he plays it.

this was my thinking as well, and i did call.
river was a T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], he thought forever counting chips and bet 8k or so and i called (he had a little btwn 12k and 15k left, and i thought he would have a bigger flush more often than he would pay off with a hand i beat; he had 89 and MHIG) but thinking through other possible rivers i wonder if the turn is really closer to a fold, even though on the turn our hand looks oh so pretty.

If we knew he would bet 8k on any river, then by calling both streets we are risking 12k to win 17k, which makes that plan seem pretty bad given how often he probably has the straight on the turn. (and if we plan on folding non-club rivers then calling the turn is even worse).

unless i'm missing a key bit of logic he needs to be checking the river quite a bit to make the turn call profitable.
