Default Simple preflop AQs in SB facing a Button 3 bet from LAG

Ok, so this is a 20rb on stars so mods move if you desire, but i think i need advice/to learn from this hand.

Here's the deal, 20rb, ITM but 30 left so long way til the FT. Button had been very active up to and including the bubble but not nec in the usual way. As the big stack, He called allins from EP raisers with KT and KQ and won both against better hands.

However, he's been quiet the last couple of rounds so im wondering if he's changed gears. Has decent numbers on pokerdb so not a total bumpkin. Have Not seen him three bet yet, so that gave me pause. I was in 4th place before this hand, and if fold after his shove would still be in top 7. At the time I thought this was an auto call, but i'll await your wisdom

This is not a snap call. Nothing suggests to me that he is 4betting AJ, especially after being quiet for a while. I think it is very close.

Of course he's shoving AJ. You do 3 bet here right? 3 bet/folding here is pretty bad.

Well, even if he's only 4betting 99+,AQs+,AK Hero is getting close to the right pot odds to call.

I think his range is TT+ AK, especially since OP mentioned he's a calling type guy not a the type of player who will run you over with blatant aggression. And I don't see all of the hate for 3bet folding against a calling station type guy whos gonna call and fold to flop bets, fold preflop a lot. If you don't know how to win a hand after flatting OOP, I like 3bet folding a lot better. It's not like the button is apestyles or me or shaun or somethin.

With that being said, if this is the 20r from last night I am probably not folding against that particular guy because I think he's way more maniac than you give him cred for in your OP.

I don't like your 3 bet size

Also, the fact that this question was even posed suggests a fundamental lack of understanding about how your actions are connected to one another. Did you really raise without any idea of what to do if he shoved?
