Small pocket pair call a reraise?
This isn't a post about any one hand in particular but rather a post regarding all small PP.
After reading a lot of the posts about uNL, almost all of them recommend raising with PP regardless of what it is. My question is, if you raise with a small PP what is the largest re-reaise you will call. This is assuming that you will be closing off the betting. Or do you not call at all? For example you are under the gun with 44 you raise it up. You get re-raised directly to you left, all fold back to you. Do you call? |

100bb deep, assuming a pot sized raise, then a pot sized 3 bet, calling reraises purely for set value is spew.
The smaller the 3bet, the more likely I am to call a 3bet for set value alone, |

Ok, What if there is one caller before you? [/ QUOTE ] If someone coldcalls a 3bet and your closing the action, and then i call for set value a good percentage of the time as long as you aren't being 3bet light. |

Limping in UTG w/ 44 is fine, its not a sin against humanity. Raising has its benefits also, but limping for newer/inexperienced players with small PP makes post flop play a lot easier. Hit or release, on to the next hand. |

Hit or release, on to the next hand. [/ QUOTE ]Folding best hand a lot this way when you could just cbet and win a pot. Unraised, of course--I mean by opponent. Just checking down or folding after limp seems really silly. |

People should get into the habit of being more aggressive, and raising PP from any position (especially at uNL where the chance of getting 3-bet is so low) is a great place to start. |

It depends on implied odds, how deep are effective stacks? And raise small pp and take control in the hand..
