2 recent AK hands 2/4 and 3/6
Villian I only have 50 hands, he's running 25/10, I think I may have played it too conservative, which is very unlike me. Thoughts for river? I checked turn to show weakness, should I have reraised?

I reraised small on flop because I don't mind playing in position with this hand. Weak flop/turn bet to keep Ace around. At river I only have about $300 left. I'm almost positive I'm beat here by a set, maybe missed flush but doubtful...call or fold? |

Re: 2 recent AK hands 2/4 and 3/6
Hand 1: I probably c/r the turn. As played a river c/r would be sexy
Hand 2: Raise way more preflop, 96 sounds good. On the river Im confused so Id probably call but wouldnt feel to great about it. |

Re: 2 recent AK hands 2/4 and 3/6
hand 1 - i think turn should be a check raise. from the info from that you could play river better. however in your line poss c/r as grandmelon said however i dont mind betting out $120 which would put villain all in.
hand 2 - the only thing you should be worried about is 99 as he raised utg so its unlikely he will have 33,22. I think you have to call. i can see him showing AK and AQ here alot. |

Re: 2 recent AK hands 2/4 and 3/6
Hand 1: I like a bet on the river, I assume once you check the turn he is betting with any hand there to make you fold something like q/q-8/8.
Hand 2: This looks to me like a flopped set, I mean you just sat down unless in crazy land this guy has seen you play nutty I really don't see what his river shove is besides being for value. I mean do you think A/x really does this? |

Re: 2 recent AK hands 2/4 and 3/6
hand 1: Either a c/r or b/c for like $100 looks good to me on the river.
hand 2: I'm never folding hand 2 at any point. You have tptk with no possible overpairs in a 3bet pot, but preflop looks terrible. I think your 3bet needs to be $78-102 here. |

Re: 2 recent AK hands 2/4 and 3/6
Hand 1: Check raise may have worked on the turn for more money. As Grand says, c/r on the river would have been nice as well. I checked and he checked after a little thought. He had KQ. I just didn't feel good about the hand for some reason.
Hand 2: Yes, I -knew- I would get "suggestions" on raising more preflop. Again, I don't mind playing in position with AK, but I obviously understand the reasoning behind it. I'm trying to put him on a range. I don't see him 33 in early then calling a reraise. I don't see 22 for same reasons and then calling flop bet. So that leaves very few hands imo. AA, 99, AK, AQ (doubtful), missed FD (doubtful). So a lot of mixed responses here. What can I beat out of those hands? I haven't done the exact values, but I'm getting ~3 to 1 to call here, but am I really ahead 1 out of 3 times? Doesn't seem so. |

No, with that much in the pot, even though I had a really bad feeling about it, I called. He had AA.
