Quick, Stupid Xbox 360 Question
I've heard from several people (but no one knowledgeable really, just friends and stuff) that standing the 360 on its side as opposed to laying it down causes more problems and the 360 will scratch discs much more often. I looked on the XBox website but couldn't find anything that talked about it. Just wondering if any of you guys know if what I've heard is true. Thanks.

Re: Quick, Stupid Xbox 360 Question
It's all rumors, IMO.
If one way was better than the other, they would have released the info by now to cut back on the amount of consoles being sent back for repair. |

Re: Quick, Stupid Xbox 360 Question
I don't think the problem is laying the unit on it's side vs flat on it's bottom but rather moving the unit from one position to the next with a disc in it while on.

Re: Quick, Stupid Xbox 360 Question
I have an original unit, bought it at a midnight sale day of release. Its been standing up on its side the entire time, no scratched disks, no problems. Like Synur said, just don't move it while it on and no matter which way you put it make sure there's nothing blocking any of the ventillation ports.
