flop quads, how do I extract maximum value?
SB is 57/8/0.5 over 450 and 40 WTSD hands and often slowplays strong hands and a calling station. No reads on BB but he´s 61/15/0.8 and 44 WTSD over just 50 hands. Do you raise flop or wait?

Re: flop quads, how do I extract maximum value?
im definitely raising flop, but just calling if SB 3-bets.
if you just call on the flop, and then raise the turn, it screams you having an 8. i think raising on the flop gives the allusion that you could have K, flush draw, or an 8. if a 3rd spade hits, i would be jamming with the hopes that someone pays off with flush. im no expert though, others thoughts? |

Re: flop quads, how do I extract maximum value?
I like a call here with a player behind to induce sb to make a loose peel. This guy probably isnt folding a pair either so you dont let him off the hook easy by raising the turn when he has 99 TT QQ JJ etc. The value you lose from AA and AK is made up for by the times sb peels.

Re: flop quads, how do I extract maximum value?
I would call the flop planning to raise the turn.
We can hope for an overcall from sb with a marginal holding maybe a single [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. BB seems passive and holds a strong hand like JJ+, AK. When he holds Ak he may switch into calldown mode after your flopraise. You have position and BB will always bet the turn so you can wait to raise there. |

Since SB is often calling 2 bets anyway I would raise hoping BB jams his hand.

Re: flop quads, how do I extract maximum value?
Raise flop, if given the opportunity 4-bet. Lead turn, if given the opportunity 3-bet. Lead river, if given the opportunity 3-bet. If some bets into on the turn or river, raise.

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ] The short version of this is "raise whenever you can!". In the actual hand I raised flop, was reraised and only called, then raised turn and was called and then it was capped 3-ways on river against a flush and an unknown holding. Would you have capped flop? |

Re: flop quads, how do I extract maximum value?
Just read the title and nothing else. Just raise, how to extract max value from quads really should not concern you whatsoever.
