Default How dumb did i play this AK ?

Iīm a big looser with hands like this.. Help me improve my play.

PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
Hero raises, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, 2 folds, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, BB calls.

Flop: (20.50 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, CO calls, BB calls.

Turn: (13.25 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks.

River: (13.25 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, CO calls, BB calls.

Final Pot: 16.25 BB

PF: I donīt like to cap AKo, but here i have a (very small) chance to make someone fold PF, plus if there is a K on the flop, it will be easier to make my opponents fold.

Flop: Isoraise

Turn: Is there a flush ?

River: No ? Then i bet for value.

I would say moderately dumb because you messed up the turn.

Bet the turn. If you are drawing, you are drawing to the nut (non str8) flush. You more than likely have the best hand already.

Reads help, especially on AKo hands.

Sorry - no real reads. After 30 Hands, all villains are a little bit loose (VPIP 20-30), but no maniacs and no TAGs.

QFT except I think 'moderately' is a little kind.

I think the preflop cap is good for the reason you stated, even if it's unlikely to make coldcallers fold for 2 more.
Flop raise is good.
Turn bet is a must, you still likely have the best hand but if not you have the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in case another [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] comes.

I should say that in the heat i didnīt realise my own flush draw - i was scared to be raised.

Yea, you'll want to work on that. You should get in the habbit of knowing what the nuts are on any board. Seeing draws like that will come with time, but it needs to be second nature. Then you can play PLO and have your head assplode because of all the cards to keep track of.

You should be less scared of the flush when you hold the A of flush. All the Axs hands that people play are eliminated. Plus, playing scared is for sissies.
