Is it just me or does coldcalling a 3-bet with someone left to act behind signal extreme strength from a non-fish? I'm going to 4-bet almost always in this situation.

Flop is [censored] awful. Think about the hands villain expects you to have when you cold call like that preflop.
When he bets that flop, he's either praying you did something unexpected pre or he's really strong. By raising the flop, you make it pretty clear that you didn't do anything unexpected pre. |
