Default 33$: stars. first hand of the whole tournament. QQ good?

no reads on anyone as it is the first hand in the whole tournament. no stats on villains either. What do you do here? AA or KK out there? Domination of smaller pairs? AK? what is the best tactical play? note: BB is still to act too.

BB isn't anything to worry about. You're ahead of his range.

UTG+1 is obviously a moron. He min raised UTG+1 with 1 limper already.
I don't know what kind of moron he is but he really likes his hand.

But it's the first hand of the tournament, and no one believes anyone on the first hand.

You need 41% equity against his range to shove.
That's JJ+, or QQ+,AK.

Shove, and make a note on what he had.

I shoved. UTG+1 held AA. BB called too with the nuts (AJo) ;-)..he tripled up flopping an JJx. nice play overall, just wondered whether there is a way to get off this hand. Basically I think I have to go broke here most of the time.

naw. We dont fold QQ first hand unless theres like 3 raises in front of us and the last ones by a nit.

AA? Oh well. Whens the next 33bucker? Oh yeah, 45seconds from now. Seriously you see plenty of 99,TT,JJ,AK,AQs even alls in first hand from unknowns. If theres multiple actions from tight players, we possibly fold it, this hand, nope, were alls in.

Especially if were the first push all in, if we can be the first push all in we really dont muck QQ.
