Default How bad is this?

It seems like when it rains it pours. Just like you can get on a huge rush, you also can get on a huge downturn. I wish there was someway to reduce this, but you can't control the cards and the outcome. You can only stick your money in with the best of it.

A couple examples from my last few sessions:

Hand 1)

A raise and several callers. I call in LP with Ah5h. I flop the nut flush. Villain flops top two, pushes, and turns a boat.

Hand 2) I raise preflop with KK. One caller. Flop comes out 10 high. I push AI for slighly over the pot. Villian calls with 88 and turns an 8.

Hand 3) I call a PF raise from SB with KQ. Three to the flop. Flop comes Q4Q. Check, Check, bet. Call, call. Turn comes J, Check, Check, bet, I reraise, villian calls and original raiser folds.. River is a 4. I push AI hoping for a chop and figuring I would call any bet on the river anyway. Villain calls with QJ.

All three of these pots were big pots that changed the momentum of my session. I was between a 70%-90% favorite on the flop each time, and I felt like I played the hand the best I could.

When I am running like this, I think what is the point of playing? My win rate is horrible right now.

So what is the best course of action? How do you react emotionally? I know these things have to happen occasionally, matematically. But do you keep playing with the idea things will even out sooner than later?

It's just very frusterating and kind of puts me on this mega-tilt. Its hard not to think about previous sessions when you are running like this. I also tend to play more causiously and with less confidence. I also EXPECT to be outdrawn at this point. Maybe it sounds like I am bitching, but I know bad beats are part of the game. It just hurts your bankroll and your desire to play. This post is more about coping techniques when running like this.
What have you guys found is the best course of action?
Similarly, what is your approach when you are running good? Is there any logic to play more/less in these situations? Any logic to playing differenly? Of course, not of that changes the probability, but there is certainly a psychological aspect to all of this. Thoughts???

This happens to me virtually every day.

The good news is this, it might be a sign that you are getting better. I went through a phase like this where all of a sudden it seemed that I was getting more bad beats than I was giving. It didn't seem right. Then I realized I was getting my money in while I was ahead more often than not so the opportunity to lay a beat beat has diminished.

Whenever you lose a hand, ask yourself if you make all the right decisions, including things like should I have been in this hand or did I get my money in at the right time.

Of course we are human and I still sometimes want to punch the monitor but more often now I just move on. If you feel emotional, get out of the game and go to the mircolimits and raise hell. Now that's fun.

Wow, never thought about it that way. The last 3 days I've had tons of extremely bad beats which has sent me directly to monkey tilt, playing way higher than what my bankroll allows me to. Blown off 300$ of a 400$, so it sort of sucks when I grinded my way up from 25$ on NL10 only, then blew most of it on 2 days on NL50, tilting like crazy.

Guess I have to manage my bankroll better
