Default NL 5: AJo in ugly J high flop

Just wondering what i should of done on the flop, didnt really have a clue if i should of lead or not. If i bet anything close to the pot i am nearly pot committed so i thought maybe betting a $1 c/f for the rest of the hand or is c/c okay(obviously fold if a diamond hits)?

Hard to over-value position in a hand.

Personally I just complete from the small blind and check fold that flop.

I don't hate raising all the limpers from the SB, but I check/fold the flop as well.

Bet the flop yourself, if called. turn K, u can lead again, check call or check fold depending how you feel about his hand.

This reads so sick!!!

When you want to bet that flop, bet bigger, betting .24 in a 1.64 pot is spew.
BTW: on the river, you have to call .49 in round about 6.80 pot. With that huge odds I would even consider calling, he just needs to bluff completely once in 13 times to make a call +EV here...

Bet flop at least .75X pot. If raised and heads up, go AI excep v MP3.

If you make big flop bet, How can you c/f that turn once MP3 folds with pot odds that juicy? IMO K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] turn is a clear push without MP3 if you bet flop .75x or more and I wouldn't bet less.
As played I crai flop. Button could call 24 cents with many hands. Maybe original bettor is the type that typically bets small with set or small flush on this board or doesn't feel need to protect big flush but he is quite unlikely to be ahead of you. Probably has jack or diamond.

BTW, this is at least a good flop for you, if not a very good one. If MP3 only had $3.50 it's very profitable situation.

I'd play it like you did. On the flop you get 10:1 odds, so even though TPTK is probably no good those odds are too good to fold. I don't like leading out on that flop. If everyone called your pf raise then I'd say that they are likely to hang around on the flop, and just building a huge pot OOP with TPTK is not the most profitable play that can be made in NL5.

What did they have?

cbet flop (3/4 pot) & fold to raise. by checking & calling but not raising you are not charging any potential flush draws.
