3 folds, Hero raises to $7.00, SB raises to $23.00, BB folds, Hero calls $16.00

Flop: ($48) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)

I like your bet, too many bad turns... I give up if called or raised, because I suspect a tarp, although he could have a FD if you get raised, but you'll be in a really bad position if you call.

I like betting and I like bet size. The pot is big with a coordinated flop so Im thinking 90% of decent villains are protecting their hand rather than slowplaying. Dependant on villain and reads I think he is more likely drawing. If villain just calls and a blank turns Im firing at the turn too. If villain CRs flop well Im outta there and am pissed that I misread his strenght (although he could obviously still be drawing)

I don't know if I like a bet here that much, because I think villain will raise with any draw and you can't continue, so you're really not protecting your hand when you bet. If he has some marginal hand (88) he'll call he's drawing very thin and you can extract later. You're basically just betting and hoping he gives up.

Not too bad a thing if you think youre ahead and hes drawing. I certainly dont want him drawing for free. I do agree that he may reraise which I may have to fold but I hate letting him draw for free when my hand isnt likely to improve.

If he's drawing he's likely check raising, so betting to protect against draws and then folding to a raise is bad imo.

I bet a lot here. And of course, you can't call a reraise.

I didnt say I would fold ... it would be a difficult decision depending on bet size etc. Also depends on our image to villain (ie does he expect us to bet so he can CR). Anyway Im still betting this flop.
