Default QQ - Awakward Spot

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $82.50
BB: $132.45
UTG: $137.95
Hero (MP): $99.50
CO: $100.00
BTN: $67.50

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG raises to $3.00, Hero raises to $9.00, 4 folds, UTG calls $6.00

Flop: ($19.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $15.00, UTG calls $15.00

Turn: ($49.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG checks, Hero?

UTG is unknown. If I just check behind I'm giving a free draw to the flush and possibly losing value to a weaker overpair. Bet half pot and fold to shove? Half pot screams "I'm scared" to me. Bet $35? I'm pot committed here, right? 4 to 1 pot odds ... ? Betting $30 I'd be getting 3.5 to 1 odds when he shoves ...

I pump it up to 11 pf and lead out turn. This looks like a smaller overpair to me.

As play, what's your turn bet? I'm guessing your going all the way with the hand, right?

i would rule out smaller over pair as
1. he would usually bet the flop with a small overpair to protect it or gater info on u
2. he would only check with it in order to reraise and take the pot there and then

hands i would say he might have are

A + higher or pairing .... calling 15 as unwilling to give up the hand but very unlikly i would think

77 33 55
a good player would bet out or reraise with them so unlikly to be that
K +Qs or 9s10s 7s8s ect.
is most likly
possible aa kk
i think a bet of around $30 is right
if he pushes i would pass because he was more likly to push or reraise on the flop and passed it up. he has hit the set or straight

if he calls i wold seriously back off and hope for a check if he pushed i would pass

so what happened?

i would bet the turn, about $30, i would have to fold to a shove as there is the 4 straight plus 33-77 have us crushed.

he is more likely to have an overpair here though, which is why i think betting is best.

on the river, if he checks a blank, i would shove for sure

I think we see a smaller overpair here as well. But I like a check on the turn to possibly induce a river bet by him, or to make it more likely that he may call a river bet since it looks we may be trying to steal the pot after a turn check. If we bet the turn he may lay the hand down now. This line is only good though if we are fairly certain he has a smaller underpair. Betting or checking the turn is also player dependent. Against a bad player we would get more value out of betting the turn bc he will probably not be able to fold an overpair to the board. But vs an unknown I like the line I gave above.

So you're betting $35 and folding to a shove despite getting 4 to 1 on your money?
